Peter Cincotti - Jazz Festival, Montreux, Switzerland - 2009
Peter Cincotti seemingly walked out of another time, that long-ago era when crooners with smooth matinee-idol looks donned tailored suits, wore gleaming pinkie rings and jazzed up romantic pop fare. He's an old-fashioned cosmopolitan singer-musician -- cool and elegant with a swaggering, Sinatra-inspired approach that belies his 21 years.
Peter Cincotti was already a seasoned pro on the New York jazz circuit. He made a splash at the 2009 Montreux Jazz Festival, had played prestigious rooms in the Big Apple and Atlantic City, N.J., and had shared the stage with his mentor, Harry Connick Jr.
At 19, Cincotti topped Billboard's traditional jazz charts, becoming the youngest artist to do so. Now,Cincotti steps out of the tuxedo-and-evening gown realm of jazz standards and snazzy crooning and plunges headfirst into the aggressive world of pop-rock. This concert lasted for 1 and half hours of pure Cincontti's jazz or pop rock music.
