BIRELI LAGRENE, RICHARD GALLIANO, DIDIER LOCKWOOD. Live in Marciac, 2010
Richard Galliano, Bireli Lagrene, Didier Lockwood: a trio of three prestigious strong personalities. Probably accordionist, guitarist and violinist know they long. But this is the first time they have been grouped in a directory that gives pride to each and whose paternity, except for the Pent Up House, Sonny Rollins, Stephane Grappelli dear to their responsibility of one end to another. Fou Rire, Galliano, Place du Tertre Lagrene, Bequest of Lockwood, the tone and give a concert in which everyone has an opportunity to highlight its inspiration and superlative technique. It would probably be it excessive to speak of uniformity, but such a juxtaposition of talent has something to attract assistance clearly won.

Bireli Lagrene & Didier Lockwood - 35th Edition - Live Festival de Jazz de Vitoria-Gasteiz - 2010
Last January 24 2010 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Belgian gypsy who has been, without doubt, the European jazz musician greatest of all time.
The two best players possible to make a tribute to Django. The guitarist, also Gypsy Bireli Lagrene which debuted just being a kid in the eighties playing acoustic guitar with blinding speed. He made some recordings with bassist Jaco Pastorius, but "never want to forget to Django." His records and his concerts are always an event and on this occasion, will have the collaboration of the great violinist of Calais (France) Didier Lockwood. Spiritual son of Stephane Grappelli, which received the violin Michel Waldrop thus perpetuating the chain of French violinists. He has performed at Carnegie Hall with Dave Brubeck and the Blue Note with Miles Davis, Marcus Miller and Lenny White and has worked with Herbie Hancock, Elvin Jones and the Marsalis brothers.
Undoubtedly, Didier Biréli and make the best possible tribute to the memory and music of Django Reinhardt.
